Heading back and forth to a clinic can be exhausting and painful. Linden Home Care provides professional in-home wound care to help complex wounds heal safely right where you are most comfortable.
Healing at home is a great option for anyone recovering from a recent surgery, a serious injury, or dealing with chronic health conditions that make natural healing difficult. Our nursing team regularly visits homes to treat:
Our Registered Nurses (RNs) work closely with your primary care doctor or surgeon to follow your prescribed care plan. Your in-home visits will typically include:
Recovering at home allows you to minimize your exposure to crowded clinic waiting rooms. It also spares patients with limited mobility the physical stress of traveling to appointments multiple times a week. For families, having a licensed professional actively involved in the care process—and coordinating directly with the patient's medical team—provides valuable support and guidance during a stressful time.
Our certified wound care nurses are available for home visits and ongoing monitoring throughout Madison and the greater Dane County area.

Yes, Medicare generally covers 100% of the cost for in-home wound care if a doctor decides it is medically necessary, requires a licensed nurse's skills, and the patient is considered homebound. Our team will verify your specific insurance coverage before we begin any care.
Your visiting schedule depends entirely on your doctor's orders and the complexity of the care required. Our nurses might visit daily for complex wound VAC changes, or just once a week for routine check-ins as the area improves.
No. Applying sterile dressings, managing wound vacs, and performing clinical wound maintenance legally require the advanced training of a skilled nurse (RN or LPN). Your regular home health aide remains an essential part of the care team for bathing, meals, and mobility, but they cannot perform medical wound care.
To begin, you will need a written order from your doctor (such as your primary care physician, surgeon, or wound clinic specialist) prescribing in-home wound care. Once you or your doctor provides this referral, our team takes care of the logistics. We will coordinate directly with your medical provider to receive the detailed care plan, verify your insurance or Medicare benefits, and schedule an initial in-home assessment with one of our nurses.
